ABOUT MIKE

I am most excited to talk about our relationships with our Lord and how we can glorify Him. The Lord has given me a desire to encourage parents to glorify God in the discipleship of their children. We see from scripture that parents are the primary evangelists and disciplers of their children. The church body has the joy and privilege to come alongside parents to encourage them in many ways. One way is to provide a Sunday School that children may attend while parents are in Adult Bible Fellowship or in the Worship Service being discipled themselves. Then parents can take home and replicate what they learned with their children. Eventually children will thrive from worshipping along with their parents during the entire worship service on Sunday Mornings.

Jesus intervened in my life at a young age and saved me from God’s eternal wrath. I responded with faith and was baptized in high school. My wife, Linda and I met at Biola University, but we graduated from Fresno State. We were married a year and a half before we graduated and LOVED being married during our last college years. We have cherished being part of and leading small groups together since college. Small Groups have been monumental in our growth and for building a sense of belonging and community. We are thankful for the blessing of the eight children the Lord has provided to us.

Fun Facts:

  • I graduated from Fresno State with a Degree in Animal Science and was the Horsemanship Coordinator at a Christian Camp in Washington State.
  • I love studying apologetics from Andy Walker and Nathan Hiner.
  • Voddie Baucham is one of my favorite preachers to listen to.
