OUR PHILOSOPHY
Here at Country Oaks, we seek to glorify God in participating with His worldwide work of building His Church by sending, encouraging, and partnering with workers called to cross cultural boundaries and learn a heart language in order to make, baptize and teach disciples. Cross-cultural work is defined by the key words and concepts found in the great commission and throughout Scripture: Go, Make Disciples, All Nations (ethnic groups), Baptize, Teach. Matt. 28:18-20
In Let the Nations Be Glad, John Piper writes, “The Goal of [cross-cultural work] is the gladness of the peoples in the greatness of God. 'The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad' ”(Ps. 97:1). 'Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy!' (Ps 67:3-4) Worship is the fuel and goal of [cross-cultural work.]"
Join our CCW committee in prayer for our church body and cross-cultural workers. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what our CCWs do and support them in prayer. These meetings are held every second Sunday of the month at 12:30pm in Room 402.
