Biblical Parenting Class Schedule
One lesson a week will be covered on Wednesday evenings starting September 6, 2017. The schedule will be available soon.
Application and Fees: ** A completed application and a $30 Book/Supply fee per couple is due for this class by: August 18th. (Cash or checks are accepted payable to Heritage Oak School)
AWANA: Childcare provided by AWANA when in session based on availability, if your child is over 3 years old. Please call the church office to inquire about enrollment in AWANA. There are additional fees when signing up your children for AWANA. Contact the Country Oaks Baptist Church office (822-1379).
Childcare: There is also childcare for children too young to be in an AWANA program during the Wednesday night Biblical Parenting Class sessions. Please contact the church at 822-1379 with questions regarding the childcare and to put your child on the list.
Requirements: No more than 2 of the lessons can be missed by either parent (if married) and must be made up before the next session in order to receive a “Certificate of Completion” which is required for families attending Heritage Oak School. If your work schedule conflicts, please contact the head of school.
- Because each new lesson builds off of the previous lesson, faithful attendance is crucial. If one parent in a family has to miss a class, we encourage the other parent to still attend if able. Parents benefit greatly by working on the same concepts at the same time, which fosters unity and consistency in parenting. If a class is missed by either parent, the lesson must be made up before the next class by checking out a loaned copy from us and returning it by the next class day. All homework should also be completed as normal. Although the DVD segment is the main teaching tool of each lesson, being present and participating in the homework review and class discussion time is the most critical portion of the program. These two segments allow time for class discussion of the practical applications of the material gleaned from the DVD Lessons. Because of this, missing classes will put you at a great disadvantage from getting the most out of each session.
